Crowded

There is a reason that as soon as they are old enough the kids fly the nest.... a reason why the apron strings are cut. Unfortunately I know some people that just could let the natural order of things happen.... they have not one  but 3 other family members... things are crowded. I don't know how they do it! I'd throttle them by now.

Choosing a Logo!

Ok this is a fun one, but I will definatly need input!

I was trying to create a logo for myself and well... everything I try doesn't feel quite right. It's got to be memorable something easily recognizable. Take a look at these:

Personal Note

Lately I haven't been getting a lot of sleep and what little I do get it isn't that great... bug surprise when you are a student! So I tried sleeping with head phones on... well depending on the music I got some super interesting dreams - but no restful sleep as was my goal.

So I am looking into those special clock sound maker things, the ones that are like clinically proven to help you sleep. As a student there isn't a huge budget for things like that but I did find this sound therapy system from Sound Oasis for $49.99.

I found this too about them....Sleep Deprivation May Spur Serious Mental Problems, Study Finds...so that's my problem! LOL!

Suggested Reading - The Best Romantic Novel

I love to read just about anything under the sun and recently I have been on a romantic novels kick. I have read books like Eat Pray Love, The Notebook and other such travel novels... yes even around my busy schedule and studying I have been able to continue my treasured reading habits.

So a classmate of mine saw me reading 'Eat. Pray. Love' and asked if I had read a book called 'Overland' which she claimed to be the best romantic novel that she had ever read. She continued to give me a nearly blow by blow recap of this book she insisted that I read.

Apparently it is about a nearly finished med student, who on the last day of his final exams receives a letter from his fiance that she is calling it off and traveling to Nepal. He, not willing to give up on their relationship, drops everything and decides to go after her half way around the world, and while on this trip they both learn and experience some amazing things.

The author, Mark Levy, based his travel novel on his own life experiences... that I learned on his website www.overlandthebook.com as I investigated where I could get this book! She made it sound amazing and after reading the synopsis on the website I can't wait to read it myself!

Friends

I love my friends. I love them because they each come from backgrounds and paths different than my own, so by getting to know them I am forced to learn about new things, understand old things better and open my eye up to even more.

One of my friends is helping her ex-boyfriend with his drug addiction. He lives in Southern California where she grew up. They are still super close friends which is totally amazing. I was helping her find him a great place to go for his rehab.

Since I know he is not the only person in the world needing this kind of help, I thought I would pass on what we found and wish everyone the best on their own paths of rehab.

The place we found was called Sunset Malibu: Luxury Drug Treatment Center. The place looks amazing and the reviews are awesome. The people are friendly and don't judge! When we took him there I wanted to stay because of how calm and breath taking the views were.If I ever had to go to drug rehab- this would so be the place I want to go!

Hi everyone, my name is Makenzie.

I am a part-time college student having more fun exploring the world on my own than in the classroom. I am here to expand my horizons and get to know the internet community better... I am considering changing my major to something more computer/internet related. I have been poking my head in the SEO/Social media world and am intrigued.
